Mixed Martial Arts classes provide the ultimate in self defense.  a full-body workout that targets both improvements in cardiovascular endurance and muscular toning.  In addition, regularly training in our MMA classes  works all major muscle groups in a fun and energetic way and improves balance, coordination, flexibility, self defense and self-confidence.

Mixed Martial Arts - During our MMA classes students are taught the art of boxing by developing hand speed, punching power, footwork, stamina and strong defensive skills. Students will learn practical and realistic movements that work in the ring as well as on the street. In addition to devastating hand strikes, each student is taught the finer points of all the Martial Arts kicks while concentrating on power and technique. Muay Thai, Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques are also covered in these classes.  MMA classes provide an incredible cardiovascular workout - keeping you challenged physically and mentally.

Jiu Jitsu Combatives - BJJ for MMA (Beginner Class) Our Jiu Jitsu Combatives classes are designed specifically for people with absolutely no previous Brazilian Jiu Jitsu experience. Although Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu consists of more than 600 techniques, studies conducted over the last 80 years, show that 36 techniques have been used more often and with greater success than all the others combined. During this class we will focus on these 36 techniques using a rotating curriculum allowing students to build strong fundamental skills in the art of Jiu Jitsu. This is a sure way to keep yourself safe in any street situation. During these classes we will work on teaching a person to successfully defend against an opponent using leverage and technique. Our Combatives classes focus on more of the self defense benefits of Jiu Jitsu over the sport aspect. 

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Advanced Class) -  The advanced classes are designed for MMA students looking to take their Jiu Jitsu to the next level.  Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport and self-defense system that can be trained for sport or self defense. The focus of Jiu-Jitsu is submission grappling (ground fighting). It teaches a person to successfully defend against an opponent using leverage and technique. The fundamental ground moves are those that neutralize, immobilize, choke or apply pressure or twisting to the body’s larger joints (submissions) to conquer over an adversary’s attack. Jiu-Jitsu is one of the few martial arts in which you can test your skills sparring on a live resisting opponent without having to hold back in fear of hurting your partner (commonly referred to as rolling). Both rolling and live drilling play a major part in the progression through the belts/ranks. A resisting opponent helps the student realizes their strengths, and polish their deficiencies; that way, when you need it to defend oneself, you already know what it feels like to have someone fight back.

MMA Fight Fitness -Fight Fit is the ultimate conditioning class combining the principles of Circuit and Suspension Training and Mixed Martial Arts. Our intense, high energy conditioning drills, coupled with techniques from Boxing, Kickboxing and MMA will build your cardio and muscular endurance like you’ve only imagined.  This class is designed to be done at your own pace and is for people of all fitness levels.
